The Rag Rug Maker

After studying display design in London, I began my career in the display studio of Bally London Shoe Co. Bond Street. Over the years I have kept my hands busy with the many traditional crafts taught to me by my mother. In 2002, my family and I moved to Mid-Wales and with a deep interest in the social history of our old farmhouse was inspired to create my first rag rug. In 2009 I began selling my work professionally and examples of my work can be viewed at Dyfi Arts Guild Gallery, Y Plas, Machynlleth. Keeping to the traditional ethos of the craft all my rugs are created using re-cycled fabrics
