April Lay Embroidery and Textile Artist

An early passion for sewing and fabric, nurtured by my mother, a tailoress, developed into a love of colour and texture. I enjoy all styles of textile art,experimenting with silk painting, hand and machine embroidery, fabric manipulation, stitching with beads, metals shells and twigs. Inspiration is taken from landscapes, trees and plants.
